This article seeks to share a research journey that integrates Performance Studies and Gender Studies, beginning with the research project titled “Acting, Intervention, Performance: Scenic Practices in Rejection of Forms of Violence Against Women in San Juan (2015-2018)”, funded by the National Theatre Institute (INT) in 2019. The journey starts with the description and analysis of scenic practices carried out in San Juan between 2015 and 2019 within the context of political demonstrations. Reviewing these artistic practices in public spaces involves considering how theater intervenes in these instances. In this regard, the development of this article includes the background that serves as the framework for the research in the province; a review of methodological and conceptual aspects; the analysis of the observed practices and their production context; and a proposal for systematizing the creation procedures, group formation, and interaction with the audience.
